Welcome to the International Institute of Finance!

On the afternoon of April 16, 2026, the Campus Incubator Entrepreneurship Mentor Symposium, hosted by the Think Tank and Scientific Research Office, was held in Room 313, Building 4 of the International Institute of Finance (IIF).

The event assembled eight senior instructors who boast profound theoretical knowledge and abundant practical experience in asset pricing, big data modeling, brand management, marketing, strategic management, human resources and other fields. Representatives of over ten incubated enterprises participated in the event, and conducted in-depth dialogues and idea exchanges with mentors focusing on enterprise development planning, business model innovation, technology commercialization, market strategy optimization and other key topics.

Liu Haidan, Director of the Think Tank and Scientific Research Office, delivered a detailed introduction to the campus incubator. Apart from offering physical spaces for alumni start-ups, the incubator strives to introduce high-quality mentor resources, promote two-way interaction between alumni enterprises and on-campus research teams, facilitate in-depth integration of industry, academia and research, and better underpin social and economic development.

Established in 2020, the campus incubator has finished 11 batches of project screening and incubated nearly 80 projects in total. It has nurtured numerous high-tech enterprises and specialized, refined, distinctive and innovative SMEs. Meanwhile, it has fostered an innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem centered on USTC alumni, and built a dual sharing platform for social and alumni services. Such efforts realize efficient linkage between alumni resources and social demands, and achieve resource sharing and value co-creation.

In the interactive session, alumni entrepreneurs engaged in high-end equipment manufacturing, new energy, fintech, artificial intelligence and other sectors spoke actively, sharing difficulties and obstacles in business expansion, for which the entrepreneurship mentor team put forward constructive suggestions.

This symposium has set up a sound platform for in-depth communication between incubated enterprises and entrepreneurship mentors. It not only realized effective combination of theories and practical experience, but also provided feasible solutions for enterprises to tackle operational difficulties.

In the future, the Think Tank and Scientific Research Office will keep playing the role of a bridge, hold regular targeted docking events, and offer intellectual support for the growth of sci-tech innovation enterprises. It will advance the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and coordinated industrial development, so as to better serve the high-quality development of regional economy.
